it all started out fun...


but then disaster struck.


arthur was horrified.


but he wasted no time and got right to work.




(the fountain was annoying so he ate it.)




success!! (thanks to jasper for teaching him how to march properly...)


so he quickly dried...


and got back to business.




sometimes arthur forgets the task at hand (note: green ball).


so he just runs.


and fortunately on this happy st. patrick's day, luck was with him. he presents to you... his new ball:

nashvegas!

arthur recently took his first trip to nashville. winter weather prevented some of his planned activities, but he kept himself busy in spite of it. please see below for a list of his favorite things about the music city.

1. snow! he took a while to get used to it, but then, true to form, he ran... and ran... and ran.




2. snow cones! (judge my poor photography... someone wouldn't get out of his pajamas to come play/hold the beast...)



3. arthur-sized windows! even better, he had the perfect view of two trees full of birds. they provided hours of entertainment, and whenever he went missing for an extended period of time, this is what i found:

we're so sorry for the hiatus. as you'll see, art had a busy weekend.

friday: had a bath.



saturday: took it easy. to observe the holiday, art stole/consumed one foil-wrapped reeses valentine heart.

sunday: made a new friend. a few things to note...


when visiting new friends, it's important to make yourself right at home.


it's also important not to be shy.


and it's especially important to never stop smiling.

p.s. arthur would like a fenced in backyard for christmas. or st. patrick's day.

toenail disaster

it's been a difficult day.

arthur's sole dewclaw toenail had been giving him some trouble, so we took an impromptu trip to the vet to have it examined. after a lot of hysterical screaming and crying, we left sans one toenail and plus one shot of morphine.

he's currently feeling a little under the weather:


please wish him well.

take note

arthur really cherishes the weekend. it's important to start friday off strong, and today he's done just that. per the request of a few, here's what's been accomplished so far:

- interrupted a pilates session by repeatedly swinging a (de)stuffed long-legged rabbit at the cranium of the practitioner. unfortunately (?) the session had to end early as a result.

- honed his barking skills. it's only 3:15, but he's already spent roughly seven (7) hours practicing. he thinks it's especially important to do so in the car when his driver is on the phone. rustling leaves can be really infuriating, so it's easy to understand his rationale.

- got a present!!! it's not unusual for arthur to receive mail, but today's was especially thrilling:

however, as dear as his pink hippo (?) is, new toys quickly become old toys.



which simply means he'll be expecting some more snail mail. soon.

arthur loves the park.


and he loves the -85 degree misery.


it's very important to have an action setting when you have an arthur.
